Kamer in Paul Krugerlaan

The apartment was built in 2004 and features a spacious living room of 50m². The total area is 120m², including a balcony of 8m². Each room is fully furnished (bed, desk, and wardrobe) and equipped with individual locks. A washing machine, dryer, and dishwasher are available, along with a basement for bicycle storage.
The apartment is conveniently located just 10 minutes (by bike or tram) from major train stations Den Haag HS and Den Haag CS, with three tram lines right in front of the building. Supermarkets and restaurants are within a 500-meter radius. Smoking is permitted only on the balcony, and pet arrangements can be discussed. Expats are more than welcome! The neighborhood is lively and multicultural, offering a variety of shops that sell exotic foods and goods.
I am a not-so-young Dutch guy with Surinamese roots and Indian ancestry, working full time.
There is no need to pay before moving in (for scam protection). The rent includes taxes, internet, and use of household appliances. A one-time deposit of half a month's rent is required at the start. Rent should be paid before the 2nd day of each month.
A monthly advance of 100 is set aside for energy and gas expenses, but this is adjusted based on actual usage. If consumption is lower, you will receive a partial refundthe total expenses for energy and gas are divided among the housemates. So far, every month, a portion of the advance has been refunded. However, if someone leaves the windows open during winter with the heating on full blast, a refund cannot be guaranteed. For reference, in June, the average cost of electricity and gas is around 50. In January, it is approximately 190 for three people, or about 63 per personwell below 100, meaning a refund of 37 per person. The 100 advance serves as a safeguard in case of excessive energy consumption.
Since we share the house (I am the owner), harmonious living is essential. Thats why I prefer housemates who do not need to cook meat or fish indoors, as I am mostly vegetarian. Given my work schedule during regular hours, the household should generally remain quiet at night, especially on weekdays. While privacy is important, I appreciate a sense of community where housemates greet one another and engage in occasional social interaction and perhaps share a meal sometimes.
I prefer tenants with a bachelors, masters, or higher degree and a worldly background.
If this sounds appealing and doesnt freak you out :), feel free to contact me with any questions or to express your interest in the room.
