Kamer in Hoornsediep

Hi,

As per direct a room is available in a (student)house along the Hoornsediep, just South West of the city-center. Situated at the end of an almost dead-end, with the canal and small grass-strip directly in front of the house, the house lies in a rather quiet area. Many years ago, half of the housing in the neighbourhood has been demolished, and in the meantime replaced with modern (living)buildings, in the meantime till directly next to the block in which is the apartment (till Summer 2027 building-activities are and will take place at the Paterswoldse weg, at some distance from the back of the apartment).

The apartment is the upper one of a house in a row of six, the room itself is almost 11 m2, its the former sleeping room at the back, facing South West.

Youll be sharing the kitchen, (rather new) bathroom, etc. with your two housemates. The back-living room with a balcony looking South West can be used by all three. However, in Summer the water-edge (right in the front of the house) is also a perfect place to chill!

In the attic you can store some things, like a suitcase (saves space in your room), and there is space to dry your laundry or sportsgear (is also possible outside at the balcony).

Welcome is somebody who is reliable, studies seriously, takes good care of the apartment, and has positive contact with housemates and neighbours.

Do note: the room will be available only up & till August 2027 (so, thatll be around 17 months). The new Dutch law for renting out rooms in the Netherlands allows renting out for a specific period of time ONLY to someone (a.) who comes to study in Groningen, and (b.) who currently lives outside Groningen (elsewhere in the Netherlands or abroad).

The place is 'right in the middle':

- not even 500 meters from the Central Station

- 1 kilometer from the middle of the inner-city center

- 400 meters from the highway-entry
