Kamer in Wittevrouwensingel

Hi! We are an international Christian student house located in Wittevrouwen, Utrecht. We are a house of 10 with 6 girls and 4 guys, both international and Dutch students. We're not just a student house where we live next to each other. We are a community that celebrates different cultures united through our faith. The Singeltje House (officially called the Rooted House) is part of the Rooted project from the Singelkerk and IFES.

The building consists of two historic Dutch houses that have been renovated and adapted to function as a single student house with 10 rooms. Five rooms are furnished and reserved for international students. Five are reserved for Dutch students and are not furnished.

We're currently looking for an international female housemate for an indefinite amount of time. The room is 20,54 m2 and costs 596 per month. The room will be available from the beginning of October.

Requirements and Expectations

The following are requirements. If you do not match one of these points, you will not be invited to the hospi.

-You are a Christian

-You are a student (bachelor's or master's only)

-For International Students: You are staying in Utrecht for at least 6 months (uninterrupted).

-You are always present at house nights (Monday)

-You are willing to take up at least one task in the Rooted project such as organizing Christian Union activities, becoming a house elder (for Dutch students only), helping organize lectures in the Singelkerk, etc.

The following are expectations. These points can give you an idea of who we are looking for.

-You help shape the Christian identity of the house.

-You are willing to be actively involved in the community life of the student house

-You are prepared to engage in open-minded and transparent relations with the other students in the student house.

-You can cook like nobody's business
